Offensive comments from one of your employees Andrew Goodman

Dear Mellow Mushroom

I would like to alert you to one of your employees called Andrew Goodman , from Brooklyn NY, who sent me a series of offensive Facebook comments last night when I was commenting on a thread regarding Israel and Palestine .

They were racist and sexist comments and targeted my children as well as me being a mother .

While all of them were extremely vulgar and hurtful, the most upsetting is the one where Andrew claims I only have 2 children because the other 10 died. I had 2 very painful miscarriages prior to my children of which I did not reveal on Facebook .

(apparently I am also a goat f**ker because of my Arab / Muslim heritage) . I have the comments saved which I can forward .

Facebook has removed some of them but not restricted Andrews profile so he is still free to harass and verbally abuse me .

We ordered a pretzel bits appetizer that NEVER came out and we did not receive it until after our main meals came out and we asked for it.

I ordered chicken wings and a soup that I expressed was my main meal and to please bring with the other entrees. However, this was brought as an appetizer and I waited for everyone else to get their food so we could eat as a family of 5 together.

My son ordered a calzone with cheese, steak, pepperoni, mushrooms and onions.

When it arrived, he started eating and said, "mom there is nothing in her but cheese" That was a $10 item...which I sent back and they made him another calzone.

However, when it arrived, we were full and ready to get back on the road so we boxed it up.

We were credited $8.00 for our situation. My total bill was $93.15. After tip it was $103.15, which is what I wrote on the receipt.

I have both receipts in my possession.

When I checked my bank account, I was charged $111.15 on July 7, 2022.

I will need a phone call from a customer service to adjust this fee. 954-662-****.

Disappointing

Hello. We went to cottleville, Mo.

mellow mushroom to dine in. We rarely go out since covid and we rarely get pizza. However, when we do mellow mushroom is one of our favorites. But sadly this time was very disappointing.

The inside was busy, a Saturday night, so I get it. But we got our pizza and bottom was burnt. (We have pics) a couple pieces were fine. But no one seemed to care or want to fix anything, well Im assuming because they were just too busy.

Super dissatisfied and disappointed that the one time we go out to eat, this happens. So basically a $40 night down the drain. We will not being coming to this location again. If they actually cared and wanted to fix things, Id understand but nothing.

sense I setup the login on website i can not login, i have also reset password and keep getting a orange box showing ! in a triangle but no text. I assume a failed login message. contacted PissedCustomer and let msg with customer service. no reply so far to fix my login

A waitress/ manager refused to cut my pizza and demanded I leave. I asked for owners number and she refused to give.. I asked for a pen so I could leave mine and she refused.

I frequent this location frequently and am greatly disappointed in being treated this way. This was the second time in a row this happened.

The first time pizza was not cut at all. I asked for it to be cut. It was brought back cut in half. I asked again.

It was brought back in quarters. This is a medium pizza and I have my girlfriend with me. On second occurrence pizza cut in half. I asked for it to be cut.

Was brought back in quarters. I asked again for it to be cut correctly and was told it was cut, I explained not correctly. Was asked to leave as I disrespected her.

I hadn't finished dinner yet either. I paid bill and am now seeking owner to respond.

So, on your 4th request to have the pizza cut, you were told to just leave? I don't even know what to make of this complaint.

Cutting the pizzas into slices is something these employees do all day, everyday.

I'm not sure what the problem was. There is probably more to this story.

The Mellow Mushroom in Toms River- every time we have gone has an excessive weight time for food, over an hour with barely any customers there. It was a Saturday night at 5pm and 7 workers in the kitchen. There was only 3 tables! Also your food is way overpriced, sorry but $16 for a subpar burger with 4 tater tots. It is unfortunate because I like to see businesses thrive in our area but between the ridiculous weight time, small portion size and prices we won't be back.

I ordered two take out cheese pizzas for a teenager's birthday party (her ONLY request). They were not busy/it was late afternoon.

They were so burnt and overcooked the kids couldn't eat it. The crust was hard as a rock. The cheese was blackened. Even the cashier admitted it was bad.

The 2nd cashier told me their pizzas are supposed to be blackened so people know they were cooked in a special pizza oven!!! I actually had to feed the kids something else. It was so hard it was inedible. Sorry, MM, you just lost all of our future business.

I'm honestly surprised the pizza chef didn't remake these.

He/She knew they were overcooked. The crust was hard as a rock.

Look at the crust in the photos! The underside was way overcooked.

They still charged me $40 for 2 terrible pizzas we put in the trash.

I don't really understand this outsourced customer service format. I attempted to contact Mellow Mushroom, the company that kept returning our $120 gift card to a 0 balance directly. There has been no response from the company and if I do not get a fix soon, I will...

We received a $120 gift card. Our local store in Roswell told us there was no money on the card.

The giver bought it at Brookhaven. The Brookhaven location said we had to come in to fix it, a 40 minute drive one way. The manager who helped us tonight did not give his name. He was thin with dark hair and smokes.

He said he remembered the sale and he matched the description of the man who in fact did oversee the sale. He blamed the problem on a new employee instead of accepting responsibility for his own oversight of the sale and wanted to put our credit on a card that was only good at the Brookhaven location.
We said "no" and repeated that we were from Roswell. He said he'd still give us a different card from the one we brought back. We have photographs of the numbers on both cards.

After he brought a new card we checked the balance. It was $120. After our meal, he said from several steps away while walking that the balance was now $52.50. That was the cost of our meal.

It should not have been the balance.
We checked again. While still in the restaurant it was reading $120. We decided he misspoke and the charge had not gone through yet. It was crowded and we did not want to go after him.

As I was writing this, we checked again to be sure the correct amount was deducted. The card now shows a zero balance when it should be $67.50.
A gift card is supposed to be a good experience for the giver and the receiver. This has been neither.
Once messed up, it should have been fixable without an extra 2 hour burden, most of it driving.
After the whole mess, good managers would accept responsibility and do something extra.

He didn't even comp our unsweet teas.
After the drive and the wait, our problem still isn't fixed. We still have a gift card with a zero balance.
I'm happy to supply screen shots of the text stream between us and the giver with photos of receipts, photos of cards and balances.
I don't know if this is a problem of a bad gift card system on a corporate level, or something worse, but it has certainly not been optimal or enjoyable and we would please like for it to be fixed with no further trips to Brookhaven.
I took this contact seriously, but after being required to read "Pissed consumer TOS" in order to contact an Atlanta based company through outsourcing in Nevada, I have to wonder if anyone on your end will take it seriously?

Terrible service and wrong food

Last night we went to mellow mushroom on Virginia Ave in Atlanta, we went in & wait about 10 minutes to be seated because the hostess wasnt there. Our waitress took long to even notice us and rushed us to take our order.

We ordered 5 sunsets in paradise, a large buffalo chicken pizza, a medium pepperoni, lil caesar salad, a meatball sub, a sprite, and water. Our Buffalo chicken pizza, lil Caesar salad, and drinks were forgotten until we mentioned it.

NEVER got the salad & then they included a baby as an adult to charge the 20% gratuity. What a joke, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Hi, I placed an online order through Mellow Mushroom app/website and it happened that I never received my order. I tried to call the store and they asked me to call DoorDash. DoorDash on the other hand said that they will take full responsibility, however, since the order has been placed directly through Mellow Mushroom, you have the authority to process the refund back to my card. Rude manager & lying hostess' about my question

Upon arrival l asked to be seated in a certain area, the hostess responded we can't seat you there. I asked why.

She said we don't have anyone to serve in that area. So l was seated in front of the kitchen. Few moments later another female seated a party in the area that l had just asked about. I then went to this hostess again and said to her " You told me you didn't have anyone to serve in that area, now people have been seated there".

She did not look at me or respond to me at all just looking at the manager (next to her) while lm standing at the cashier. I immediately walked away and sat down at the booth were l was seated. The manager said "The hostess said l was rude, also the hostess said to the manager that she had to clean a table first and if l could wait 5 minutes. I would have agreed to this but she lied to the manager.

During all this the hostess nor anyone else had to clean a table to seat some in the area that l initially requested to be seated. Both the manager and the hostess should attend classes for one week for " HANDLING CUSTOMER COMPLAINT ISSUES, where the customer keeps them employed, money in their pocket, food on their table, gas in their car, and business profits...do you agree ?

Former Employee who Experienced Racism

Let me first start by saying I was a fellow employee of mellow mushroom . While here myself and other employees experienced numerous acts of racism.

Other African American hard workers have also been fired for no reason without a written statement. The manager, Francis A, contributed to the acts of racism towards her coworkers and even attempted to fight her workers on numerous occasion. A worker by the name of Jacob, who is NOT a manager, constantly started fights with other workers. The boss by the name of Mark has also been caught drinking on the job every morning, liquor is the office where they drink.

Many workers are under the influence, alcohol and drugs, during the shift. In Alabama if you are under the age of 19 you are NOT allowed to work as a server, there is a young woman who is 18 serving currently. The health codes do not meet the standards and there are many bugs including gnats and roaches or water bugs. There bugs in the ice where many customers get there drinks from as well as inside of the tea and drink machine.

If I was an guest I would stay clear away from this establishment. All other mellow mushrooms in Alabama have been shut down and this one is certainly next.

Please save your money and listen when I say this place is NOT worth it. They are extremely understaffed and treat all of their workers like slaves.
